Funny thread, but not really.
I feel your pain, J. This summer I was without internet and cable for, ahem, nine and a half weeks! And that was from a basic change-of-address request. I spoke to dozens of Videotron agents and, nice people that they probably are, they’re all trained NOT to have any real answers for you.

Holy crap!! At least here isn’t Videotron which provides services in town but BTW. I’m a former Videotron customers and I don’t suggest Videotron anymore.
Here services are provided by Cogeco Cable, and I had a service outage last week and they call me when the service was retablished.

crap! i thought im the only one who have trouble with videotron.
VIDEOTRON REALLY SUCKS . THEY SCREWED US…AS A COSTUMER OUR OBLIGATION IS TO PAY BILLS AND VIDEOTRON’S JOB IS TO SCREW THE COSTUMERS…

A BUNCH OF LIERS WORK IN VIDEOTRON SO BE CAREFUL.WHY WOULD ANYONE TRUST VIDEOTRON? IF WE SAY TERRORIST WE PICTURED GUNS, SUICIDE BOMBERS…BUT NOT ALL TERRORIST CARRY GUNS THEY CARRIED CABLES ALSO
THAY RIDE A NICE VAN AND ADVERTISE LOGOS IT SAYS VIDEOTRON… SO BEWARE!!!!

I could write a novel with all the bad experiences I’ve had with Videotron over the last year. Cannot wait until the contract is up and this is cancelled!
All I can say is AVOID VIDEOTRON LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Especially, especially if you are Anglo!

High speed internet…ha-ha. They’re way over priced for what they deliver.
“Money for nothing” should be their new slogan!

I asked for the videotron basic service $24.95 + $34.95 instolation. and when i got the service contract ,I disagreed with it because it did not respect the agrement for price as quoted .so i canceled the contract within 1 hr of receaving it in the mail. i phoned and emailed in writing. thay illeagly charged my bank $59.00 for services.so i called again.and was told, this was against there policy. and would refund my wife,s account. and a new bill for 34,95 would be sent to my address. but after 120 days ..the account is still
overpaid….maybe i could charge them service fees for taking money from my account not due. or charged with theft?
what do you think??

I googled “videotron sucks” and found this blog. The company treats its customers like dirt. They owed me a credit (small amount($4), but it’s the PRINCIPLE), and I had to call several times before I was told they would send me a cheque (I had cancelled my account with them), only to NEVER receive that cheque. It’s been 3 years or so, and I decided to give them another try (2 months ago), thinking that they might’ve changed (I was fooled by the ads). Today I find that bandwidth that I used technically last month (ie. before midnight of the last day), is counted in this month, which starts today. So, it says on my account that I’ve already used 25% of this month’s bandwidth, and the month only started a few hours ago. I called to ask them to fix this, and their answer, after suggesting that I was lying, “we can’t do anything, but just be more careful next time.”. WTF!! it would cost them pennies to accommodate this customer, even if I was lying (which I was NOT!), instead they make the customer feel like a fool and a liar. I was super frustrated, and so I asked again about that long-lost credit, and it took the girl 5 minutes to refund it to me. FIVE MINUTES!!!! if it takes 5 minutes, why did I have to talk to at least 5 people over 3 years about it???? WHY i ask… WHY?????
These pennies are more important than their customers. they would rather treat a customer like a liar and/or an idiot, than provide them with an accommodation that would cost them next to nothing.
