My Just For Laughs Audition
A Just For Laughs talent scout contacted me at the beginning of the year to ask if I’d be interested in auditioning for the festival. I said yes and you can listen to how it went down by clicking here.
As a result of the audition, I’m going to be competing in JFL’s Montreal Homegrown Comic competition in March.
(The set was recorded at Montreal’s ComedyWorks on Jan. 29th, 2007. iTunes users can subscribe to my podcast by clicking here and if you don’t use iTunes, you can subscribe to the podfeed by copying this link into your podcast player.)

Hey, this set is fantastic! This is from the night I wasn’t there and it is very different structurally and in in tone, from the way I saw it. It works better because you have a little time at the beginning to bond with the crowd with your Peter jokes. It sets the tone way better for you and you are also a lot bigger than when I saw you.
It’s hard to stay on the line between intellectual and Beetlejuice and this set does that very well.
I think the only thing that’s missing, as a way to get away with babylingus is to link it back to the beginning. Maybe off the top you can talk about the fact that you decided to beome a landlord because it’s an investment in the future and at the end you can say that that’s why you invest in land not babies. except funnier and clever.
i also feel the love a lot more in this version.
great job.

Superb website you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really love to be a part of community where I can get responses from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Kudos!

I do like the manner in which you have presented this specific matter and it really does give me some fodder for thought. However, through everything that I have seen, I just simply trust when the commentary pack on that people today keep on point and not start on a tirade involving some other news of the day. Anyway, thank you for this superb piece and whilst I can not necessarily concur with it in totality, I value your standpoint.

The core of your writing while sounding agreeable originally, did not sit very well with me after some time. Somewhere within the sentences you actually managed to make me a believer but only for a short while. I however have a problem with your leaps in assumptions and one might do nicely to help fill in those gaps. In the event you can accomplish that, I will definitely be impressed.

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Cheers
